HOW INSTAGRAM RUINED BLOGGING
What is the point in blogging/keeping a record of my life when simple and quick to use instagram tells the same story. Instagram has ruined blogging for me. I don't like it when people take their instagram picture and then post it to facebook, snapchat, blogs, twitter, etc. Stick with one social media outlet and be done. The photos I choose to instagram tell a fun story about my life but why would I repeat that same thing on my blog. That just means that I am so narcissistic that I need every media type telling the same story about the same picture. It drives me nuts. Thus, instagram has ruined blogging for me. Putting pictures up and describing the surrounding events is just easier through insta than blogger.

UTAH CRAFTS
Shocking alert: I love Utah. Here is some proof in the Utah crafts I have made as of late:
1. Wooden Lake Powell Utah - I whittled down a block of wood, painted it pink and painted on LP
2. Utah Hashtag plate - made this beauty at a Relief Society activity

3. Laser engraved wooden map of Lake Powell - used the laser engraver at OJH, thanks to Gary (greatest shop teacher and personal dating coach) for teaching me

I TRY TO DIY
Last summer I painted my kitchen cabinets white. I had to live with white cabinets and white floors for six months as I "worked hard for the money" to buy some new floors. January was the month of floors. February was the month of little fixes here and there. March has been the month of re-decorating. From the start to finish, here is the kitchen:
Cabinets before the paint |
Right before the floor destruction |
so much white tile |
I will NEVER remove tile again. Thank heavens for my college degree |
The messiest job ever. This dust and dirt was awful. I was blowing gray snot for weeks. |
All cleared and ready for new floors |
Josh working so hard as my floor slave |
These little transition devil pieces really sucked |
Only shot I have of the old table and chairs |
After building the table and chairs, I am DONE assembling furniture! |
My luscious hand-scraped floors |
